Digital HD Video Assist on Mac

As a Director Vlado Struhar was tired of the lack of quality HD Video Assist solutions available, so he developed his own.

For years now I have been telling our local video assist vendors to upgrade their aging gear to HD. Yet, they still use their circa 1980 software, DVD recorders…and down converters, even today.

I finally got tired of waiting, and about the same time I met Vlado Struhar (www.vladostruhar.com) on-line. Vlado is a commercial Director in Slovakia. While Slovakia is not known as a hotbed for programmers, what Vlado showed me was simply amazing. As a Director he too was tired of the lack of quality HD Video Assist solutions available, so he developed his own. He asked me to take it for a spin, and I was blown away.

QTAKE HD is a complex software application designed and developed for video assist professionals. It is used to log, capture, playback, edit and process video output of the Digital Cinema Cameras

The system was tested in a real production environment for almost a year. Many features were added since then to make it the best in HD Digital Video Assist. It is a powerful, but easy to learn system, that integrates every aspect of modern video assist into a single solution. The system has extensive logging capabilities, rapid shot selection with a tree-based visual browser, a simple and intuitive non-linear editor, import and export, realtime overlay with blending, keying and wipe…Dig deeper into the new possibilities.

He took the power of the new Mac hardware and years of filmmaking experience to build the most advanced video assist system available. It has it all — instant record and playback, powerful clip database, real-time image processing, intuitive editing, dual-camera option, RED ONE support…

The Red support is a game changer, check it out: www.qtakehd.com
