Phantom camera 'swimmer'
by Justin , over 1 year ago
Here’s some footage from a recent Blue Cross campaign we shot with two Red Ones and a Phantom HD camera. This sequence was shot at 1000 fps and ramped in post. The Red and Phantom footage cut well together.
A bit of a tease...
by Matus , over 1 year ago
A year or so ago, I was inspired to work on a bit of visual poetry. I had these bits and fragments of ideas scribbled here and there. I wanted to bring it all together and create something a bit enigmatic and immersive for the reader. What follows is a teaser of sorts for what ended up being about a four minute experiment in typography, image/afterimage, and audio interaction.
Maybe one day, I’ll want to share the whole thing…but it’s a piece that’s oddly near and dear to me. The orginial, entitled A Masquerade Profane, is HD @ 24p; which, believe me, makes for a much richer experience. I’ll credit the audio you hear to a friend, Ian Perkins. I’ve diced it up quite a bit in this teaser, but it’s a great snag from his collection of tracks, Songbird.
Cheers,
Mat
Ten Not-So-Best Films of 2008
by Max , over 1 year ago
In contrast to my previous post, here are ten films from last year that were not very good…In fact, some of them downright SUCKED!
Now I didn’t populate this list with the obvious cinematic crap that was inflicted upon unsuspecting audiences last year. I didn’t need to sit through Disaster Movie, The Hottie and the Nottie, or The Love Guru to be able to tell you that you would have a better time having the veins slowly pulled out of your legs with tweezers than sitting through such cinematic abortions. The goddamn trailers were enough!
Ten Best Films of 2008
by Max , over 1 year ago
Okay, after much contemplation and deliberation I have finally decided to list my ten favorite films of the past year. I must say however that this list is not etched in stone – like a late entry in last year’s list (the fantastic Joe Strummer documentary The Future is Unwritten), I might stumble upon a small film that eluded me. So if that happens I will certainly post an update – but for now, this is what I have come up with.
