RED Epic-M

Yes, The Red Epic-M Is Here

Epic because it’s a game changer in the industry.
M for machined handmade.

Much like the original Red One changed the digital cinema landscape, the Epic changes things all over again. And it’s available right here at Digital FX.

We have the first and only Epic-M in the South and one of very few in the world. Specifically chosen by Red to receive this rare camera because of our experience and talent with Red and other digital cinema cameras, we are honored to call it our own.

What's so "epic" about it?

It is a true digital successor to film, for one. It’s 5K – that’s six times the resolution of HD video. And, it’s a handheld, 5 lbs, camera. That’s one-third the size of the original Red One camera, complete with a 5K Mysterium-X sensor and a 27 layer ASIC. It is capable of 140 frames per second with each frame at full 14MP resolution. The Epic is also unique in that it is purpose built as a digital still and motion camera with a resolution that exceeds 35mm and provides a dynamic range of over 13 stops.

Bottom line – it’s badass. You want it. You need it. And, unless you’re Peter Jackson, we’re the only place in the South you’re going to get one.
